For an attack, I took 2 pills every 2 hours with a 16 oz. bottle of alkaline water until the pain completely stopped on an empty stomach. After the first 2 pills dose, I felt better, 2nd dose, much better, 3rd dose pain subsided and I could actually get off the couch without moaning. Also it works faster to me if you just open the capsules and swallow the herbs washing them down with your alkaline water. And yes drink at least a gallon of water a day to help flush the system, get the bile flowing, and move those stones out.Everyone is different but after my 3rd dose I again opened 2 capsules and took them every 4-6 hours on an empty stomach until the soreness of my gallbladder subsided. That was Day One when the attack started.Day Two after the attack, I was still a little sore taking the 2 capsules three times a day on an empty stomach. When I have a gall bladder attack I can't eat anyway so...But you will need to be on the "baby food" diet - rice, bananas, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, broths, Apple juice, alkaline water. Ginger tea made by boiling real ginger works wonders too. Ginger ale seems to calm the stomach too.Day Three all soreness was gone! Took 2 capsules three times a day on an empty stomach. I felt normal again.Day Four even though all soreness was gone and I was eating soft foods I still took 2 capsules three times a day.Day Five - 2 capsules three times a day.Day Six - 2 capsules three times a day.Day Seven - 2 capsules three times a day.After a week, 1 or 2 capsules a day was fine for me for maintenance.For those reviews that state this product didn't work, it seems the reviewer probably only took the recommended dosage which is what the company must state. I clearly took more than the recommended dosage, but that is what worked for my body.Please know that everyone's body is different and be warned that this herb is potent. I'm only sharing what worked for me. I have just done a great amount of research for my own knowledge to know what works for my body. Just sharing to help someone who may be in pain.
