I have a lot of hip and lower back pain and not sure what to pick.** A: Initiallyw when they are new, both soft and medium will feel similar but after using a few weeks. The soft will be much more playable. The soft will give more of a soothing overall massage while the medium and firm will reach specific pressure points for a deep tissue massage and pressure point therapy type experience. I highly recommend this to keep your body flowin' expensive but worth it. Lasts a lifetime....if you don't get crazy with it....I saw on some reviews they talk about material. This material isn't going anywhere....its nice and hard.
