The trekking poles are easily assembled if you follow instructions. They look and feel sturdy. Unfortunately I am vertically challenged and can only hold onto the extended handle to have the elbow at a comfortable position i.e. around 90 degree. I am unable to use the hand strap because my hand cannot reach it. This defeats the purpose of having a cork handle that prevents palm sweating, blisters etc and supposedly will shape to your hand eventually. That defeats the safety and comfortable feature of the hand strap. The poles come folded up in a nice bag that can easily fit into a backpack and are not too heavy.
