## Overview

Archoil AR9100 is a cutting-edge nanoborate oil additive designed to reduce friction, wear, and heat across diesel and gasoline engines, including gearboxes and hydraulics. It uniquely solves cold start injector problems in PowerStroke 6.0L and 7.3L engines by lubricating stuck spool valves, resulting in quieter operation, improved fuel efficiency, and extended oil life. Trusted by thousands, it’s the go-to additive for professionals who demand peak engine performance and reliability.

## Description

AR9100 is a Nanoboratebased oil additive which forms a solid boundary lubricating film to reduce friction and provide antiwear, extreme pressure and anticorrosion protection to engines, gearboxes and hydraulic systems. AR9100 will result in smoother, more powerful and more efficient operation. AR9100 will reduce wear and help prevent failures during extreme operating conditions. AR9100 also helps keep the crankcase clean and extends oil life. General Applications Add 1.2oz of AR9100 per quart of engine oil to any diesel or gasoline powered vehicle. AR9100 is also safe for wet clutches and limited slip differentials. PowerStroke Application AR9100 fixes injectors in PowerStroke 6.0L and 7.3L trucks and other HEUI Injection vehicles (Navistar T444E and VT365) by cleaning and lubricating stuck spool valves. Stiction is eliminated along with associated cold start problems including rough idling, cylinder misfires and loss of power and acceleration. 16 oz of AR9100 is sufficient for one PowerStroke treatment. How AR9100 Works AR9100 is absorbed on metal friction surfaces where it forms a protective solid boundary lubricating film. AR9100 improves lubricity by filling surface asperities creating a smooth hard film. AR9100 has a lower shear strength than the metal it bonds to so friction between surfaces is reduced (CoF .0373,750 lbs in falex test). This means more power, better fuel economy and less heat from friction as well as a reduction in engine noise and vibration. AR9100’s solid boundary film also provides outstanding extreme pressure and antiwear protection to friction surfaces during extreme operating conditions (falex test failure at 4,000 lbs) including cold starts, heavy loads and high temperature conditions. AR9100’s film quality and strength are enhanced in the presence of extreme pressures and temperatures. AR9100 also cleans the crankcase and extends oil life.

Review: Archoil quieted down my 2007 5.7 Tundra with 390000 miles - I purchased this product a little over a month ago to use it on my next Oil Change in my 2007 5.7 liter Toyota Tundra with 390000 plus miles. I have used synthetic 0w 20 mobile 1 motor oil in it probably since it got over a hundred thousand miles. Over the past six months or so my engine started making a lot of racket under the hood with what seems to be a timing chain with a loose tensioner. At least that is my diagnosis based on other YouTube videos I have found with the same exact noise. It usually will quiet down once the engine warms up, but recently even that wasn't helping the sound go away so I started looking on the web for oil treatments because it just didn't seem like a normal oil change was doing the trick and looking for a possible cheaper fix because tearing apart the engine to inspect the timing chain would be at least $1,000 if not $2000 or more from a dealer. In addition to adding 9 oz of Archoil into my motor oil since that is what it recommends at 1.2 ounces per quart of oil for gasoline engines, I also decided to use 5 W 20 Mobil 1 extended range high mileage full synthetic oil in this oil change. I'm going on a little over a week now and there is no more clicking or excessive noise going on under the hood. In addition, I usually change the oil every 10,000 Miles when I use the extended-range Mobil 1 motor oil, but this last change I decided to do it early since I wanted to try Archoil out faster and change the oil at 7,000 miles. The oil was super black and now realize that it may be a good idea to start changing the oil at lower mileage intervals because the high mileage extended range motor oil to me is not going to last 20,000 miles as suggested on it's label. So going forward I will most likely start changing the oil in 5000 mile increments too just because I think it will be better on the engine and if this does keep the noise down under the hood it can only be good and give me more peace of mind. As for mileage (mpg) improvement, I have seen a little improvement. However, after an oil change I tend to see a little improvement anyways, but my Tundra on the highway is getting 20.3 miles per gallon this cool morning after driving about 35 miles with two stops along the way as I drove to work, but by the end of the day after it was averaging 18.5 by the time I got home. I wish I could say the same though for city driving, but city driving is worse and usually it brings that average down to 16 to 17 miles per gallon once I have driven on a full tank of gas. Regardless, I think those numbers are pretty good for a 2007 Tundra with over three hundred ninety thousand miles on it (see Odometer picture). If I could have any recommendations for Archoil on improvements for this product it would be to have 18 or 20 oz per bottle instead of 16, because a typical gasoline truck is going to have about eight quarts of oil in it and doing their math that will put you a little short when the next Oil Change comes around to be able to use a bottle on two oil changes. In addition, they really need to have a better View gauge on the side of the bottle with ounce markings for those of us that do not use an entire bottle in one oil change. Overall though I do believe this product has helped quiet my engine down dramatically and has improved gas mileage a little. I have attached a video that I took of my engine back in February 2021 when I first turned it on and the noise was really bad, then a few minutes later after it warmed up and the sound got a little better, then the last 10 seconds or so is after running Archoil through my engine after roughly 300 miles of driving and after the new oil change which I just did on May 16, 2021. The video speaks for itself and I can't guarantee it will do the same for you, but I'm a believer that it helped quiet down my engine dramatically. I hope this review helps someone, and hopefully it will do the same for you. Update: April 11, 2022. I've used Archoil now on several oil changes and it continues to do it's job and keep my engine noise down significantly. My engine will start "acting up" around 5,000 to 7,000 by the noise returning more frequently and know it is time for another oil/Archoil change. I've been very pleased overall and even though this is expensive I believe it is saving me a lot more than a costly repair. My Tundra now has over 414,000 miles on it and still going strong.
Review: It works - This stuff is liquid gold. Pricey, but good for 3 oil changes so well worth it. In older vehicles, it really makes a difference. Highly recommended by my mechanic and I agree.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you add this stuff in with the engine oil?**
A: Yes, add with new oil

**Q: how about putting this in rear end oil with locker or limited slip gears..OK to do or not. Thinking too thick for transmission right??**
A: You can use this in your rear end and your transmission. You will see great results in both. You can use the 9100 anywhere you want to reduce heat and friction. Not only do we sell the products we also have a fleet of 40+ vehicles that we use the 9100 in engine oil, transmissions, rear ends and power steering systems, also is great if you have front oil bath type bearing. Please let us know if you need anything else.

**Q: Does this work in any engine? I haven't read anything to suggest it doesn't but all the reviews come from only Powerstroke owners.**
A: It works well in engines using a high pressure oil rail to power the injectors, not sure why you would run it in a Cummins or any other common rail or high pressure fuel/injector nozzle or gas engine, just run rotella t-6 synthetic oil and a good filter to keep those running strong for a very long time. Also nearly any diesel will benefit from a quality fuel additive, I find in all 6 of my trucks (3 brands) that power service diesel kleen will more than pay for itself in fuel Economy improvements alone (about 5-15%).

**Q: can you use this with full synthetic oil**
A: Yes. I use Synthetic oil, Rotella T6 for diesel applications. It provides better lubrication, for longer intervals. Works great with Archoil.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Archoil 9100 Works! 6.0L PSD
*by T***D on 3 January 2017*

I bought a 2006 F250 with the 6.0L and about 380,000 miles on it! Did not have hard stiction issues but heard about this product and what it could do so i gave it a try. Background: I found out the previous owner had been using synthetic oil (dont remember the brand) after i had already put in Delo 15w-40 regular grade with my first oil change. I could tell there was something different by the first few times starting. It did not start as quickly and sometimes it would run for a second then die and would start on the next try. So i bought and added the AR9100 and added to the oil and there was a difference in starting and engine noise the next day after only running for awhile. So yes it will work with Regular grade Diesel Motor Oil also if anyone is wondering, but with the other strains this oil system goes through i wanted to use synthetic. So i wanted to see if just using Rotella synthetic T-6 5w-40 would also solve the known engine issues, so after about 1000 miles, i drained the oil and filled with just Rotella T-6. With the amount of oil that stays in the system along with the oil cooler and HEUI Pump, im sure there was still some Archoil in the system after the drain. I took a roadtrip and changed the oil at about 7500 miles with no issues and seemed to start ok. On my next oil change i stayed with the Rotella T-6 and added a fresh 16oz bottle of AR9100 to the oil. Now with the AR9100 and synthetic T-6 and i can definitely tell a difference in how easy it starts and the smoothness and quietness of the engine even more so than with just the synthetic. Within the first couple days it started easier and sounded much quieter. I could also hear the injectors cycling slowly becoming more steady and smooth like a drum roll. Before they were cycling a little erratic and lopey and didnt sound like all of them were cycling at all. Once the colder weather came i had no issues with stiction or loss of power with temps down in the 30's. I could start it and let it run a few minutes and take off no problems. I will continue to use this product in my 6.0L PSD and may try in my other vehicles to see if any difference. Also i have not compared against RevX or Hot Shots Secret but i know this stuff works and is cheaper and thats good enough for me.
