You DO NOT want this for brakes. Use brake grease . It works into a part to a coating of grease, nice and slick, or can be used to stick parts into position while assembling. It is a bit pricy but makes working on things like automatic transmissions a pleasure. Blends with atf so will not clog valve bodies.
