Never heard of soap made without it.** A: Glycerin base soap contains a detergent component that was made with lye as a product of saponification. That is why this soap doesn’t not need curing and safer to use for crafting projects **Q: Is this vegan?** A: Yes it is. My wife is Vegan and uses it all the time. **Q: Can this be used for shampoo?** A: Yes. There are shampoo bars recipe that uses glycerin base soap as the main component I found online. But this product is just a a base soap and you need to mix other ingredients which depends on your needs (e.g moisturizing or dandruff).
