It is stained a nice rich walnut color and has two grab openings. However, and this is a BIG However, these are made of rough material, like stiffened twigs with little prickly hairs, and they are very rough and abrasive on everything. Because they are the size and color I wanted, I will keep them and adhere a protective layer on the bottom to insure they don't scratch the finish on my shelves. But the woven material is very brittle and flimsy and bits of broke off just getting them out of the packaging. I don't think these will look good for very long if they are actually used to store items that are accessed more than rarely.
