My beard is just over a half inch thick at the moment and can be a little wiry at times. The skin under my beard also runs a little on the dry side. Additionally, I use beard oil and balm daily. I've used this product in the past and consider it to be a reliable beard shampoo. It's very gentle, lathers well, softens my beard quite well, and the scent is somewhat pleasant and doesn't linger long. One thing I don't feel this shampoo does well with is softening the under skin beneath my beard. Other than that, I consider this to be respectable beard shampoo. In sum, this shampoo is dirty cheap, decently scented, softens very well, lathers well, and doesn't require much each use. I'm not sure I would use this as my daily driver but it's worth having in your rotation!
