Review: GREAT WATCH! - I've never written an desertcart review before but I was moved to write one for this watch because it is all I had hoped for and more. The fit and finish is excellent, everything lines up on the rotating bezel and it moves smoothly but not too easy or hard. The metal mesh band is well made, no issues with it coming unclasped, it's easy to adjust, comfortable and looks great. The lume is ok, I've got Citizens that are better but it's equal to some Seikos I have. The fact that this is a hacking automatic is a big plus. My Seiko SKX007 at twice the price doesn't do that. The best part, and maybe I just got lucky, but this is my 3rd automatic and it keeps fantastic time. Almost equal to my Citizen Eco-Drive quartz watches which are spot on for long periods of time. Throw in a see through case back, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and seamaster homage and what's not to like.

**Q: What type of stainless steel is used?**
A: Mine hasn't arrived yet but the answer is almost certainly 316L.  Rolex's last claim to fame is that they use 904L, which resists scratching and acids better, but 316L is almost universal in watch making because it is not too expensive but hard enough to machine a watch case from.  Cheaper stainless like 18-8 just won't make a machined watch case, it's too soft (and "gummy" from a metal working perspective).

I've never written an Amazon review before but I was moved to write one for this watch because it is all I had hoped for and more. The fit and finish is excellent, everything lines up on the rotating bezel and it moves smoothly but not too easy or hard. The metal mesh band is well made, no issues with it coming unclasped, it's easy to adjust, comfortable and looks great. The lume is ok, I've got Citizens that are better but it's equal to some Seikos I have. The fact that this is a hacking automatic is a big plus. My Seiko SKX007 at twice the price doesn't do that. The best part, and maybe I just got lucky, but this is my 3rd automatic and it keeps fantastic time. Almost equal to my Citizen Eco-Drive quartz watches which are spot on for long periods of time. Throw in a see through case back, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and seamaster homage and what's not to like.
