I'm not sure if I just had a bad wire to begin with or if the finger to reduce lateral flex/stress makes that much difference. I have a Oste-Mik Nr.4/25 teak cheese slicer21x14.5cm.** A: The wire is 25 cm long which, when doubled over to fit on the slicer, is a bit under 12 cm on each leg. Any difference between this and your measurement is most likely due to the knotted ends hidden below the holding notches, and the portion at the top where the wire crosses over the "fork". I believe these wires fit all Osti wire slicers. If you have any more questions, contact Osti directly. They are very helpful and friendly. **Q: What is the length of the wire?** A: I measure the wire at 9 5/8" plus a small amount due to springy curvature of the wire. The replacement wire fit our 30 year old Osti Cheese Slicer just fine in spite of the fact that the small plastic stand off at the tip of the slicer broke years ago.
