The main reason we selected this air scrubber over the competition was because we saw that it had the UV-C feature that can also kill the bacteria in the air (And really, who doesn't want that!?) whereas the others we looked at in the same price point only removed the dust but let me expound....One of our kids has VERY severe allergies that antihistamines/drugs alone can't control so we were researching air scrubbers as the run of the mill air filters/purifiers we had previously purchased were just not effective enough. Besides that they were quite expensive as we needed 7 of them for each of the rooms in our house so when comparing our options we saw that the various commercial air scrubbers were much more powerful & effective than the smaller room purifiers (*and when comparing costs more affordable in the long haul).We contacted them/Aloair (as we had a lot of questions), what we discovered is: The model we were interested in (and selected) uses a MERV-10 pre-filter and a HEPA carbon filter that they manufacture themselves and are available to purchase in various quantities of 5 to 50, and you can contact them for specifics (prices per quantity you want/need) for whatever model you are considering buying.We also asked if it would work in a vehicle and they said no, but they are coming out with an ozone machine that will remove tough odor in a car! Then we asked if it would work in scrubbing the A/C ducts in our A/C system and they said YES!! So it was a done deal at that point and placed an order which arrived in less than a week.When our unit arrived we cut out a cardboard box to fit input in machine and vent hole in floor. It was super easy to set up and really works good at cleaning out the ductwork runs in each room. If you wanted more air volume in certain ducts you simply close off the ones you are not working on and open the ones you are. Then you can do same for other vents as you so desire. We had called A/C companies for prices on doing this and they were all really $$$ for doing the same thing that this air scrubber did and we can repeat the process whenever we want besides just letting it run more or less when needed (spring time is the worst time for allergies here) depending on the season. We LOVE it and wish we thought of it before wasting so much $$ on the smaller room units. So glad we have this and are ready for the pollen season as it has already begun so we weren't a day too soon! Don't wait until you are overrun with pollen this year, look into which model best suits your needs and get it asap! We are so glad we did na have recommended this to our family in FL that are inundated year round with allergy issues from the pollen there as there is no down time for the plants in the tropics!

Works really well. I only needed it for a bedroom at first that had some mold exposure. After that i transferred it to my office storage which is in a basement. Dried it up and cleaned the air beautifully. I didn't realize the difference it could make.

This machine is built very well and appreciate the Hobbs meter to track running time. The replacement filter set is not inexpensive, but the machine works well.The variable speed control allows you to install it in small spaces without annoying people with too much noise.I would buy another one

I have multiple HEPA air scrubbers that I use in my business, this is my first purchase and use of one with a UV-C light inside of the unit. We had a particular allergic customer and needed to make sure the air in the basement was super clean before they moved in. With detail cleaning and the Use of this air scrubber the post remediation testing come back very clean! I would recommend.

purchase two hepa max970 both with faulty uvc light . uv light turn on for the first 2 minute and turn itself off you need to turn off the unit and turn it back on uv light will be on for another 2 minuteother than that its great air scruber

The media could not be loaded. Well constructed unit with an ability to move a lot or a little air depending on the dial. Great size, low noise. The filtration system is impressive. Keeps the dust out of my clients home during remodels. Would highly recommend

We cleaned our kitchen after remodeling . This piece was phenomenal in assisting with the dust removal . It cleaned our air so well ! I felt like I could breathe easier !’

Would be best if had remote capabilities for my application. Need a better charcoal system to reduce odors.
