Review: Great Decaf Coffee - This is a wonderful decaf. When intelligentsia discontinued the decaf el mago I desperately needed another Swiss water decaf coffee that wasn't acidic or bitter ,and had no odd kaftertaste like lime or pineapple. This is the first coffee I've found that hits all 3 requirements. It smells and tastes faintly of honey ,which is delicious, and luckily for me it is not too acidic . I can drink it pure or mix it with my milder low acid beans for a decent cup of coffee.

This is a wonderful decaf. When intelligentsia discontinued the decaf el mago I desperately needed another Swiss water decaf coffee that wasn't acidic or bitter ,and had no odd kaftertaste like lime or pineapple. This is the first coffee I've found that hits all 3 requirements. It smells and tastes faintly of honey ,which is delicious, and luckily for me it is not too acidic . I can drink it pure or mix it with my milder low acid beans for a decent cup of coffee.

Brewed 21g coffee (medium grind) in 240g water at 210 degrees in Aeropress, upside-down . Expiration date was six weeks away. First, the beans looked very dry, and the coffee did not smell fresh. Could have been my method, but when brewed it was flavorless and unpleasant. Understandably, it's not eligible for return. Glad others have had better luck, but I was disappointed, especially at this price. Always in search of a good decaf, which seems notoriously tricky to produce and sell, but I didn't find this to be it.
