A little pricey yeah, but its honestly worth the extra $$$$! I upgraded the I5 to I7 and the performance is amazing. I also upgraded to the Windows 10 Pro. Visor has a good rated customer service system in place which is a plus. You get what you pay for, you really do people. I Highly recommend. This happened twice. The second time Vaio claims they will repair, if it fits under their warranty. We'll see. I contacted them four days ago and was told that it would need to be repaired in New York..that they will send a box for me to use for shipping to New York...Learned a lesson, stick with Dell or Apple.. those who understand a business person's needs and develop and manufacture reliable products, and have good service.. Lightweight. Durable. 1440p screen. Battery life. All are great features. I've taken this with me during business meetings, watching Youtubes, programming, video editing... I pretty much did it all with this laptop and it is STRONG enough to do them all, in a neat and professional package.When I bust out my laptop, I get stares from others who are curious what it is. They say, "VAIO?" and I have to explain that the story of Sony selling the Vaio brand to other investors and blah blah blah. They were thoroughly impressed with it. It runs nice and cool and not much fan noise, until you want it to work. Even NOW, 11/2018, people and friend are impressed with it. I have it at 25% brightness, which is fine to me since I don't need it to be so bright to see. Not BLIND yet. It can pretty much last up to 10-11 hours, but when I get home from work, I just plug it in and not use it. So, 8 hour work days should be fine, even at 50% brightness.Portability and DurabilityThis is light. 2 lbs is nothing. Case is solid. It is built solid as well. NO issues at all for the 2+ years I have owned this.Definitely get this even though it is older and a bit pricey.
