A: If you are using these for baking your own cookies, you should soak them in drinkable water to keep them from burning or browning in the oven. No need to soak them if they're not going to be heated. However, you may have a lot of trouble getting them into a cookie that's already baked. If you intend to to this, I suggest you "glue" them to the back of the cookie, instead, using frosting. You can make your own very easily with confectioner's sugar and water. Just mix it up into a paste with clean water and optionally food coloring, then apply. It will air dry to be rock hard and crunchy- and yummy!
