The wood quality is okay, but not impressive. The finish is okay, but could be better; seems like the boards were planed, but never sanded. They're easy to assemble because the "fit" is, again, just okay. For $100 each, I expected the machining to be much more precise. I purchased the redwood as I figure in the long run they'll hold up a little longer and that the color variation would look a little nicer. I originally was going to keep them unfinished but the furniture in my house is all walnut stained and these stuck out like a sore thumb so I purchased some water based conditioner and stain and went to work. The final result is absolutely beautiful. I have included a picture so you can see how they come out when stained. I would definitely recommend these.
