The color isn’t as harsh as black, but still has enough pop the pencil sharpens very easily as some reviewer said that it didn’t I have had no problem, sharpening this pencil and absolutely love the creamy consistency the way that it glides on my eye without tugging or being painful the color is absolutely beautiful and it stays on all day in very humid hot conditions with somebody that has oily eyelids. Review: The brown is perfect! - I got the gray and purple and brown. There is a wide variety of quality between them. Purples are hard to formulate, and it shows in this pencil. Dry, skippy, patchy, fades a bit. Can I make it work? Yeah, I guess, but I don't reach for it because of those issues. The gray is... fine. It has sparkles in it, which surprised me. The glitter isn't big, but it's there, and that sort of limits the use of this pencil. I don't reach for it as often as I would if the gray was a lovely, creamy textured matte. It stays on through the day. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 as the last time I sharpened it, the crayon part fell out. I stil have 1/2 of the pencil left.
