Bacteria multiply once they colonize. Too much could cause digestive discomfort. **Q: Since there is a proprietary blend of 3 grasses, why is there no flavor?** A: How I notice the difference is drinking the probiotics with some water together, and then I drink just water. When you do that, you so notice that the water with the probiotics tastes a little like soil. **Q: Do you reduce the effectiveness if you add to a hot liquid (coffee/tea/etc)?** A: I would not recommend adding to "hot" liquid though I would think they are heat resistant. The liquid is dosed out by size. My grandson takes two droppers of "Happy Belly" medicine every morning. He stays regular, going daily. His immune system is strong. (He does take elderberry every day too) Last year he missed zero school from sick days. This year, he hasn't missed any yet. (Mid January) So I'd say it works very well and is effective. He doesn't gripe about the taste. Just shake the bottle up. Then it's all mixed up and dissolved. We keep it stored in the fridge, bottle inside the box. We have bought it several times. I think it's a good value. I saw the last time I ordered was 2 months ago. If it's an older person that uses more at a time, it would not last as long as it does for us.
