Everyone knows red dye is cancer causing!!** A: I agree, it is not needed. Best to write the company and demand it's removal. Start a blog to bring awareness to Red Dye 40 being used in Hibiclens but it's use in candy, cereal, sports drinks is much, much worse...You can also write the FDA to end it's approval of RED Dye 40 being used for anything and everything .. **Q: What will be the effect on the anerobic bacteria in my septic system?** A: The anaerobicity is irrelevant. I do not dump this into my septic system, nor any other antiseptic (esp sodium hypochlorite). In order to find if you damaged your septic system, you have to go "too far". It's sort of like being told "do not over-tighten!". What does that even mean? If you use it, dump it in a place that can be exposed to sun and high temps like your driveway, or a sunny part of your yard (but nowhere _near_ a compost pile or garden.
