I would call the finish like a matte black. Myself, when I got them, I liked them, and ordered a second set. **Q: They were exactly what i ordered. but when i hook them up they’ll turn on but not blink? do they need a resister of some kind?** A: No u don't need resister if you have blinkers already....one wire goes to ground,one wire goes to constant power parking lights....and 3rd wire is hooked to your blinker wire. ....of you don't have any blinkers at all then yes you need resister....these lights are garbage....they did not work properly on my Yamaha....they blinked fast left. Right blinker was slow. N they didn't look the same...each one was different shade. Some brighter then others. Don't waiste your momey **Q: is there anyway to purchase replacement lenses?** A: Sorry, sold as a whole set, no separate lenses **Q: I'm putting these on a 97 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. I have 2 wire so how do i wire the 3 wire for running light and blinker to work?** A: Do not buy these I purchased 2 sets. I installed the rear ones n had to run a wire for parking light to work...the front blinkers have 3 wire hook up. But they do not work well at all....same voltage to each light but one was brighter then the other....one blinker flashed faster then the other....I put stock blinkers back on and everything worked again....I purchased led bulbs and worked out a lot better....these blinkers are cheaply made n I'm still waiting on my refund.
