I didn't want to waste another firebrick (they are £1.70 each!), so I started looking to see what I could find to work with my current power saws.Bought the evolution diamond disk (to match my Evolution mitre saw) and the results have been superb. Absolutely beautifully straight smooth edges and the ability to custom cut the fire bricks to any customised shape, angle etc. This is really important when you are building a curved oven!I would hazard to guess that this cutting disk is not recommended for firebricks, because they are so hard and dense, but so far, it has done the job admirably... I am halfway through and the disk shows no signs of bluntness or reduced cutting ability.I have also used a tip I found online, and that is to soak your firebricks in water for 90 seconds before cutting them. This both keeps dust levels low and lubricates and cools the blade at the same time.My only grip is that, because this is a 210mm blade and not the usual 255mm on my Evolution Rage, that it doesn't completely cut the bricks through, but leaves maybe 8mm uncut at the bottom because it can't drop far down enough. I knew this going into the purchase though and in any event, it's really easy to snap the bricks once the bulk of the cut is done and neatening up that small edge is really easy - or you can flip it over in your mitre saw and neaten it up with the disk again if you really want a neat finish. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cuts even hard brick weave fairly easy *by J***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 6 November 2022* Seems like a decent blade for the money. Used it with my Evolution circular saw to cut and shape some hard brick-weaving bricks for our garden and driveway. Obviously made a right mess, but that's to be expected. Cut through the bricks fairly easily and cleanly. The Evolution saws are geared down for lower RPMs and higher torque than other circular saws, with all metal drive gears, which probably makes them handle this kind of cutting a little better than other budget saws aimed mostly at wood cutting. The blade looks like it still has plenty of life left in it.The only issue I could see is that all the painted on markings on the blade were worn off almost instantly in first use, including the rotational direction marker, so make sure to note down or remember how the blade is supposed to be fitted before using. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Started off well *by R***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 21 September 2020* I have never used a diamond blade before but I thought that the cuts I had to make would be neater using a 10" blade on my sliding mitre saw than using a hand held grinder.After fitting the blade which went without any problems I started to make my cuts. The first few went through the 600x600 patio slabs like a hot knife through butter but afer 15 to 20 cuts the blade just didn't seem to cut as easily. I also noticed that the cuts were not as good and the blade had a wobble as if it had warped. I purchased a second blade to complete my project and noticed the same happening to the second blade.I can't really say if this blade has performed well or not as I do not have any experience with using any other blades.I would say that I am not unhappy,but also I am not totally happy with the performance.
