Review: Simply the best ... - Four years ago I was looking to buy a pair of Bluetooth headphones and having checked out the famous makes like Bose and Sennheiser which were both way beyond my budget, I decided to take a risk on a brand I had never heard of but budget friendly. Enter Soundcore Life Q20+ by Anker. So I bought a pair and hoped it wouldn't turn out to be a waste of my money. Not only were they not a waste of money but quite the opposite they turned out to be an amazing pair of headphones and now after four years of constant use and showing signs of wear and tear especially on the ear pads and the head band, I decided to upgrade. My old pair are still working perfectly and the sound quality is as good as the day I first used them but due to wear, I find them a bit uncomfortable on the ears. So this time I bought the Soundcore Q30. I've only had them for a couple of days and like my old pair they are absolutely amazing. Last night I used them for the first time to watch a live concert by the Eagles at almost full volume and absolutely no distortion even at high volume and if you like plenty of base in your music then look no further than Soundcore Q30 and if that is not enough base, then there is a sound mode in the app with plenty more base. The bluetooth connection is fast with no loss of signal and a fantastic range and sound quality. The app is very easy to use and helpful and has a nice collection of preset music modes so from high base to high treble to jazz to rock to blues you are spoilt for choice and the best of all is the price. I don't know how Anker can sell such hight quality headphones at such a reasonable price. I highly recommend these headphones and thank you very much Anker?

**Q: What codecs does this support, i.e. aptx-ll, aptx-hd, ldac, etc.?**
A: While supporting many different codecs improves compatibility, etc., it's not a good indicator of the quality of the sound you will get from the headphones. Case in point, the Sennheiser HD 450BTs utilize the aptx codecs, but they sound like garbage compared to the Q20s I was replacing them with. In my experience, aptx has more to do with latency reduction than actual sound quality. My advice is to get a pair of headphones that get decent reviews, good battery life, and use software with a good EQ. On Android, Poweramp is the best that I've found. You can adjust the bitrate, etc. to better match the capabilities of the headphones. You can use the default 10 bar EQ, or use a custom one. The settings allow for a LOT of customization.

Short answer...if the Q30s are at least as good as the Q20s, I think you'll enjoy them a lot.

**Q: can you use noise cancellation with a wired connection?**
A: I bought these headphones on Prime Day Jul 12, 2022. The version I received had the newest firmware that disabled ANC when plugged in. I had to return them, since I am expecting to have to use the wired connection on my upcoming flights.

**Q: Will this connect with a PS4 for gaming?**
A: PS4 and PS5
Wired, yes for both audio and mic. 
Bluetooth, audio only, no mic. You can get a dongle to plug into the PS4 if you really need them wireless, but that's another $12+ and occupies one of the usb ports.
I bought these for my husband. He uses them every night, wired to the controller, to play in a party with nieces and nephews. While the kids almost always are scrambling to make their mics work, my husband just jumps on.

**Q: Can I connect these to my tv somehow?**
A: If your TV has a Bluetooth transmitter, then yes, you could connect any Bluetooth headphones to the TV. If your TV does not have Bluetooth, you can purchase a Bluetooth transmitter device, hook it up to your TV's audio ports, and it will send audio to your Bluetooth headphones.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing headphones for the price, some issues after a couple years of use

First of all, great headset. Noise cancelling works as expected, if not better, I use it in many scenarios from long car journeys to day to day work in my household and it's a huge difference. Sound quality is great, very light, comfortable and easy to wear. After a year and a bit of solid use, the headset did show some signs of age with the left headphone losing audio entirely and periodic noise coming through, as well as some issues with the connectivity at certain angles. However, after emailing Soundcore's Support Team, I was able to claim my warranty and was sent a replacement within 2 days of the ticket being opened! I would definitely recommend this headset. For it's price, it's great value.
