Review: If you stream 4K UHD on Netflix or watch 4K UHD Blu Rays YOU NEED THESE , Why? Look below - I bought the Q30 and it has blown my mind! I watch UHD Blu Rays from my 75 Inch 4K Tv , But also Netflix & Prime etc I do not have the money to set up a 7.1 or 5.1 home theatre Good news , You do not need to. If you watch even Blu Ray movies with these. It will be the very first time you can hear TRUE QUALITY! It blew my mind, I have favourite movies I own on Blu Rays and I’m hearing sounds I never knew were there. They are better than the cinema , You can buy 2 of them and you & your partner or kids watching Tv during the day will be blown away I let my mum and sisters listen to them on a movie and they both said that’s better than going to the movies , hearing such clear voices and waves in the background is mind blowing how truly amazing they are For the price , and quality there is NOT even a close second to their Quality. With Bluetooth there is no lag , you turn them on and then turn Bluetooth on , on your tv and boom it’s that easy they work. There is an app and it’s super easy to use. And you can pick what you like for noise cancellation and active noise cancellation btw amazing too! I got the blue ones , I love the colour and they look so good , you get an amazing case with them to keep them safe They hook up to the tv and my iPhone and laptop do easily so compatibility is really good and very easy. There buttons on the headphones take about 10-15 mins to get used too , volume up is bigger than volume down , on / off is on a different side with the charging port. Do the touch controls are so easy to use and learn within a few mins I can’t speak on the gym , I am not a big man I’m 5’6 I don’t have a big head and they got perfectly , they also fitted my mum and sister too They are very comfy , I watched 3 movies almost 7+ hours and they felt great , not overheating, I.e getting sweaty Idk what the soundcore ear cups are made of but they are so comfy The battery is amazing! No shock as Ankler make them who are famous and are a brand that are out years & years making powerbanks and much more You do not need to charge them for long. Because it’s USB C they charge fast. Like a new iPhone of Anything with USB C gets hot if left in for hours. If you charge them for 10-15 minutes you’re good for 2 days of audio. Because it’s USB C they charge so fast. I don’t have any Con’s, maybe the case could be a tiny bit bigger other than that I love them and highly recommend them. For the same quality in sound your talk £100’s not £50 You will not be disappointed and it will be the very first time in your life you hear true high quality sound. I do not use them for music but movies and they are so good! I’m now buying the Q45 so not just I also put someone else can watch a new movie pull the curtains , get ur snacks and put them on turn on Bluetooth on your TV *SoundCore connected* Use the buttons but also the Tv remote for higher sound too. They will blow your mind! Do not let a couple of bad reviews put you off. One of my best buys on desertcart ever!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What codecs does this support, i.e. aptx-ll, aptx-hd, ldac, etc.?**
A: While supporting many different codecs improves compatibility, etc., it's not a good indicator of the quality of the sound you will get from the headphones. Case in point, the Sennheiser HD 450BTs utilize the aptx codecs, but they sound like garbage compared to the Q20s I was replacing them with. In my experience, aptx has more to do with latency reduction than actual sound quality. My advice is to get a pair of headphones that get decent reviews, good battery life, and use software with a good EQ. On Android, Poweramp is the best that I've found. You can adjust the bitrate, etc. to better match the capabilities of the headphones. You can use the default 10 bar EQ, or use a custom one. The settings allow for a LOT of customization.

Short answer...if the Q30s are at least as good as the Q20s, I think you'll enjoy them a lot.

**Q: can you use noise cancellation with a wired connection?**
A: I bought these headphones on Prime Day Jul 12, 2022. The version I received had the newest firmware that disabled ANC when plugged in. I had to return them, since I am expecting to have to use the wired connection on my upcoming flights.

**Q: Will this connect with a PS4 for gaming?**
A: PS4 and PS5
Wired, yes for both audio and mic.
Bluetooth, audio only, no mic. You can get a dongle to plug into the PS4 if you really need them wireless, but that's another $12+ and occupies one of the usb ports.
I bought these for my husband. He uses them every night, wired to the controller, to play in a party with nieces and nephews. While the kids almost always are scrambling to make their mics work, my husband just jumps on.

**Q: Can I connect these to my tv somehow?**
A: If your TV has a Bluetooth transmitter, then yes, you could connect any Bluetooth headphones to the TV. If your TV does not have Bluetooth, you can purchase a Bluetooth transmitter device, hook it up to your TV's audio ports, and it will send audio to your Bluetooth headphones.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Price-to-Performance King: 3 Pairs Later and Still the Best Mid-Range ANC
*by D***R on 12 March 2026*

I’ve now purchased three pairs of these—which is the ultimate testament to their value. All three of my children use them daily in different colours. As someone who handles a lot of high-end tech, I find the Q30 sits in that rare "sweet spot" where you get 90% of the premium experience for 30% of the cost. Build & Comfort: While the construction is primarily high-quality plastic rather than magnesium or carbon fibre, they are incredibly robust. They’ve survived years of teenage use without the hinges snapping—a common failure point in this price bracket. The ear cups are exceptionally soft; they do get slightly warm after 2+ hours, but the lightweight frame prevents any "clamp fatigue" on the head. Technical Performance & ANC: The Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is the standout feature. It handles low-frequency hums (like airplane engines or office AC) impressively well. While it doesn't quite match the "silence" of £300+ Sony or Bose flagships for high-pitched human voices, the transparency mode is natural and highly functional. Sound & Connectivity: Audio Profile: Out of the box, they are bass-heavy, but the Soundcore App is excellent. I highly recommend using the Custom EQ to pull back the 100Hz/200Hz bands slightly for a cleaner mid-range. Codecs: They support AAC and SBC. While they lack LDAC or aptX, for Spotify and YouTube streaming, the Bluetooth 5.0 connection is rock-solid with no noticeable latency. Battery: The 40-hour (ANC on) battery life is genuine. The USB-C "Fast Charge" (5 mins for 4 hours of play) is a lifesaver for kids who forget to charge overnight. Buttons vs. Touch: I appreciate the tactile physical buttons for volume and track skipping. They are far more reliable than touch sensors when you’re on the move, though the "tap-to-transparency" feature on the right cup works well. Final Verdict: The shift from a hard case to a soft travel bag in newer versions is a slight shame, but it doesn't change the fact that these are the best budget-friendly ANC headphones on the market. If you want pro-level features without the "luxury tax" of the big brands, these are it.
