With a peak current discharge of 212 amps per channel (or 420 amps combined), this kit operates efficiently under 100W of battery power and includes six high-performance ignition cables rated for 50kV and 400A current pulses. ## Description The Aquapulser X series of Pulsed Direct Current Ignition Modules consist of a proprietary electronic circuit that is designed to convert a standard low current high voltage ignition spark to a high energy plasma spark at the highest frequencies with the largest ignition kernel compared to any performance ignition system available on the market today. The SparkAmp Ignition Module is designed to work with any spark ignited engine - single cylinder or V twin engine, from portable generators to high performance drag racing engines, with fuels ranging from Natural gas, methanol, all the way to nitrofuel. The fitment of the plasma module depends on the accessories used to outfit the existing low energy ignition system with the added pulsed power from the plasma modules. The conventional ignition electronics and coil (OEM or after market performance ignition coils and coil over plugs) generates a low current high voltage discharge which the plasma ignition module then amplifies to deliver over 200 amps of peak current directly into the discharge (compared to milliamps of high performance ignition systems such as MSD). The extremely short duration of the Pulsed Direct Current Ignition method also minimizes plug wear while igniting a much larger portion of the air/fuel mixture, causing the flame front to rapidly expand in the cylinder than is possible with a conventional spark.
