If so, does it work well with cold water washes and is it safe for the septic?** A: I bought it to make my own laundry detergent also! I did that and haven't had any troubles - we use cold or cool water to wash. I was told that both the old and new listed ingredients are actually the same thing. A Consultant Kirk's brought in to advise them updated the ingredient names. Before purchasing, I would suggest contacting Customer Service and asking them directly just to confirm what my understanding is.
