Out of the box, the diver came wrapped in plastic to protect the bracelet, and tags, like other watches of this style. Additionally, it came with a bracelet link remover to adjust the size to your fitting. The watch itself is beautiful. If I had not known it was $50, I would’ve thought this watch was in the hundreds. Yes, it looks like a Rolex Submariner, with its cyclops-style glass, but many other reputable watchmakers design their diver-style watches similarly. The casing and bracelet are made of stainless steel, which has some weight to it — weighing similar to my Seiko diver watch. Additionally, the bezel looks beautiful as its made of ceramic. Regarding its design, contrary to other reviewers, I have to say, this watch is nice to look at. I showed it to my friends heavily invested in Swiss-made watches, and they too were surprised at how shiny, heavy, and clean it looks. As for its time-setting and battery, I did not have much trouble with setting up the time. This watch’s crown is a push-pull style and not a screw-in, which meant that if you pulled the crown out two clicks, you are able to adjust the time and date. For its battery, it uses a small Sony battery, which should last a few years. Also, changing the battery should be fairly easy as I was able to open the case back within seconds. Overall, it’s a beautiful watch. The stainless steel casing and bracelet, ceramic bezel, and Mercedes-style watch hands truly make this watch seem more expensive than it actually is. Date magnification (the 'cyclops') is, like most, glued onto the crystal (which i sincerely doubt is sapphire), but offers less than 2X magnification. Bezel is loosey-goosey 60-click unidirectional, about on a par with my Timex Men's T2M563 Dress Sports Black Dial Black Leather Strap Watch (which cost a Jefferson less when purchased, btw). Bracelet is clickety thin-stamped stainless, but nice. You can remove links but may not need to, as the clasp has more than an inch and a half of adjustable holes for the clasp pin. Hollow endlinks of course. The surprise is the lume. All markers, hands, and even the 0/60 mark (the bezel 'pearl') is lumed - and, astonishingly, nearly on a par with Casio Men's MDV106-1A Stainless Steel Watch (of which i have several, as these are destined to be classic inexpensive dive watches worth *far* more than the paltry three Hamiltons i paid for each). So what we have here is a fun watch; cheap, inexpensive, and a beater homage to that financially unaffordable 116610LV costing nearly 242 times as much (at retail, mind you). It doesn't have to say "Rolex" for it to violate a Rolex trademark. It's not water resistant to those depths and it's certainly not COSC certified. I would say this goes beyond being an homage and crosses over into replica territory. **Q: How do you fix the dot on the bezel?** A: If you happen to lose the dot on this (this also works for me you other items as I do this for many Every Day Carry items) a great way to make your own that's as good as the original if not better is to buy a small amount of glow powder from online or at some craft stores. Mix a small amount of the powder with super glue and add the mix to the location u want it with a toothpick. If it's a location that U want the height built up use gel super glue instead of regular. U can also buy/use almost any color pigment to make this your preferred color. I also use this around the inside of my flashlights so when u shut the light off it still gives off a small amount of light from the glow powder as it works great! Also works good to use with clear paint to use on keys for easy location at night time... **Q: Is that sapphire glass? Is that right? There are synthetic sapphire glass and real sapphire glass. Which one?** A: Synthetic Sapphire is REAL Sapphire- without mineral for color. Neither is glass.
