My reason for buying these books, when I discovered them at Amazon.com, was not only for education, but for the ability to see exactly how the costumes, hair styles, shoes and accesories looked. Many books have templates of Ancient Egyptian dress, but most are difficult to interpret for my purposes. My hobby is making and dressing dolls, and these books are invaluable to me to be able to draft and create patterns and fit them to the individual dolls I am dressing. Author Tom Tierney has produced just the right blend in his artistic renditions to give me the creative help I needed. These two books will be cherished additions to my doll dressing research library.
