Can anyone comment on the fit, comfort and stability of a larger person using the chair?** A: The seats are about 16 inches wide & from arm rail to arm rail is about 20 inches wide. The pressure doesnt rise while sitting (well mines doesn't) so I don't think weight is an issue(I'm 170 & the pressure works fine). I thinks its more if you can fit in the seat comfortably. The arm rails gives a little room for anyone over 16 inches but again, they're only 20 inches apart. You dont have to add the rails if you think it may be too tight. Would be better if they replaced the plastic ring at the base with a metal one. Metal base not that heavy, but still good for moving the chair. Padding feels well made and comfortable. The adjustable lift allows it to fit different counter heights and people. You could take off the arms and still use the chairs. The rubber ring at the base is helpful and keeps it from scratching the floor.
