It is a big upgrade over the factory insert in my eyes for three main reasons: 1. it has adjustment screws so you can get it flush with your table top and tight side to side and left to right; 2. The riving knife slot is closed in the back, so it is much more ridgid than the factory unit and stays flush with the table top; 3. Because of 1 and 2, it provides a zero clearance fit to the blade. The only downside to the unit is that the factory blade guard can no longer be used with the blade raised all the way up, because the splitter the guard attaches to interferes with the closed slot opening. However, I view this more of an issue with the saw design itself: Jet designed the insert slot so close to the blade in the rear, that this interference is unavoidable with a closed slot in the insert. I plan to grind down my blade guard splitter to get the necessary clearance. My saw is a 2015 model, so maybe this issue has been fixed on newer saws. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Zero Clearance Perfection *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2021* Right out of the package it fit on my tablesaw and then I turned on the tablesaw in a safe manner and cut the slot which made it fit perfectly. I recommend this product because I’ve used it before and it worked perfectly as well. Don’t hesitate buy it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, Reasonably Priced and Works Well *by C***2 on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2017* Solid, easy to adjust and fits well in Laguna Fusion table saw.I've purchased two of these (one for full kerf and one for thin kerf blade).Pros:- Seems very durable- Low friction surface- Good fit fore/aft and side-to-side when adjusted with included screws- Up/down fit is pretty good with a screw at each corner- Reasonably priced- Performs well once adjustedCons:- The tow hook tabs at trailing edge of insert aren't tall enough to fit snugly against underside of saw table. Easily fixed with some rubber feet glued to tabs to make up for the slack. This is probably a necessity since every saw top will be a little different in its up/down dimensions.- Slot for riving knife isn't centered with my saw. Could probably readjust entire table top a millimeter or two to the right but it's easier to open the slot a little to the inboard side to gain some clearance.- Doesn't come with hole/pocket to screw down insert at leading edge. It was simple enough to drill a hole and countersink where needed.I wish you could choose the color, but I know that's being REALLY picky.
