Filled with soup, water, etc. it will very likely become very heavy. GreenPan also has smaller pots with the same diameter; I recommend trying those instead. **Q: Is the pot ceramic material ? Why does it say aluminum abd stainless steel? I thought it is ceramic?** A: It is ceramic on the inside and hard aluminum on the outside with stainless steel handles. I have used mine a lot. Only complaint is minor chipping on rim My son ran it thru dishwasher which upset me but pot was not harmed **Q: Can it be used for popping Popcorn, temperature wise?** A: I wouldn’t do it personally-oil is generally not recommended on these pans but the information I found says you can use butter. The smoke point of butter is around 350 degrees which is not hot enough to pop popcorn.
