The wood pieces do dent but I wasn't expecting anything less when you are throwing another wood piece at it. This game is harder than it looks! We would end up playing longer than planned as none of us could get to the score we needed! Definitely recommend, lots of fun and not a lot of skill needed.

Our whole family played in the front yard Christmas Day. Getting everyone to play a game is always difficult, but this held everyone's interest. Great light exercise to keep from just flopping into the easy chair after Christmas dinner. It's all wood pieces, so nothing to break and no batteries needed.
