Without it my stove would have had to have been replaced. However! £20 does seem a lot for what is in effect a metal pipe. The end of the regulator that attaches to the gas cannister is cast aluminium. This is a lot softer then the threads on the cannister. As such, it is very easy to completely destroy the threads in the regulator. (which is what happened to my old regulator at the hands of my wife & kids!)
