Enough to go through 1/8 lether?** A: These don't have spike shanks, they are a rivet-type snap that has to be set with an expansion tool. The rivet spikes are just a little over 1/8" long, so they might work through 1/8" leather. However, they do not include the setting tool with the fasteners, even though they show them in the picture! I managed to use a center-punch to set the rivet, but I struggled with it, and ruined several of the snaps before I got it to work. Beware! **Q: Will the hike punch cut thru fleece like fabric easily and do you have to seal the fabric edges?** A: Punch will easily cut fleece with a cut backer.
