Note that you do need matching SFP+ modules to match the same speed as this is a media converter not a switch. However I am using a 10Gb SFP+ BIDI to connect to my routers SFP+ port. and a MultiGig Copper SFP+ to connect to the modem at 2.5Gb I am using the Wiitek SFP+ to RJ45 Copper Modules, SFP-10G-T-S to do this as they show to 10Gb on the SFP+ Side and do the conversion in the module. Modules that expect the device to handle the 1Gb,2.5Gb,5Gb,10Gb speeds will not work unless both module speeds are matched. Glad these are finally instock I've been wanting these for sometime but had to use a Switch with some ACLs for the MAC address for the modem and router to make sure the packets passed over the switch without the cable modem "seeing" it as the hand the Public IP to the first device they see.
