Considering all the hardware that would be needed and trips to the store involved, I ended up just ordering this to save myself some trouble and get to playing the piano. This unit is much more than just 3 pieces of wood, the side pieces have a nice roll to the edge you'd be hard pressed to do yourself, the finish is a black melamine that goes well with the piano. Once assembled it's solid, and looks very sharp with the LP1B 3-Pedal Unit mounted.
