## Description

Chill your drinks efficiently with the help of the Perfect Cube Silicone Ice Mold Freezer Tray from Tovolo. 1.25-inch cubes chill drinks with minimal dilution, which is perfect for spirit-forward cocktails, iced coffee, soda, and more. The food-grade silicone makes it easy to pop out as many cubes as you need while leaving the others securely in place. The silicone trays are a perfect addition to a home bar or at-home cocktail, whiskey, bourbon, or Scotch enthusiast. Freeze berries, citrus zest, lemon or lime juice, or herbs into the cubes for additional flavor fusion. In addition to ice, these trays can hold leftover sauces, baby food, coffee, tea, juice, or fruit to create single serving sizes. Store your leftovers and use them to create smoothies, to infuse flavor into your dishes, or to preserve your baby’s food until a later feeding. Silicone trays are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. For the best results, rinse occasionally with a solution of water and vinegar to disinfect. If ice is difficult to remove, run the mold under warm water until ice loosens. BPA-free and food-safe.

## Features

- IMPRESSIVE ICE: Set of two trays create perfect 1.25-inch cubes. The durable food-grade silicone allows easy removal of one or two cubes at a time, so you can enjoy your drinks with as much ice as you want.
- USER-FRIENDLY SILICONE: Durable, fade-resistant silicone lasts through freezing cycles without becoming brittle. The food-grade silicone will not affect the taste of your ice.
- MULTIPLE KITCHEN USES: Freeze leftover baby food, sauce, soup, juice, or coffee to create single-serve portions for iced coffee, smoothies, and blended cocktails. Freeze herbs, citrus slices, or berries for additional flavor in cocktails and punches.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Trays are dishwasher safe. Rinse occasionally with water and vinegar for best results. DIMENSIONS: 7.25" L X 4.5" W X 1" H. Creates 15 1.25" cubes per tray. BPA-free and food-safe for safe freezing.
- Tovolo: Creating tools that make any home chef feel confident in the kitchen. We are committed to improving the relationship our customers have with cooking by designing products that deliver trustworthy performance and are a pleasure to use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where are these trays made?**
A: To be honest I bought these too long ago to remember what was on the packaging but I am very careful what I purchase with regard to food grade silicone. I have to assume the US for several reasons. The company started out in an apartment in San Francisco in 2000 by three friends who I believe were, a chef, a baker and a prep cook. Their products are made of silicone that is a step above what the FDA mandates. They are recommended by Lisa McManus who is the Senior Editor of equipment testing & & tasting features for Cook's Illustrated, America's Test Kitchen. They are also highly recommended by Professional Bartenders, in particular Brian Van Flendern who was the head mixologist at Thomas Keller's Per Se which is a 3 star Michelin Restaurant, which is widely regarded as the best in the world. Among other reasons these pros like this tray is because the cubes are large yet melt the slowest out of any tested which means your drink won't get diluted as quickly. They also noted the quality of the silicon, construction, etc. Also the company is located in Seattle Washington and they will ship their products outside of the U.S. Their official name is ICI USA Tovolo. They are also a member of the International Housewares Association, a not for profit full service trade organization. You could always double check and call them at 206-633-6066. I would be very surprised to find out they were made anywhere other than in the U.S. I hope this information is helpful.

**Q: Are these ice trays BPA, PVC and phthalate free?**
A: I don't know exactly, (didn't read the packaging) but since they are a silicon product I assumed so. BPA, PVC and phthalates are usually found in conventional plastics.

**Q: has anyone used these trays to make soap or bath melts?**
A: I have not but do struggle getting hard ice out of the squares so something softer may have the potential to break apart.

**Q: I would like to use these to make baby food. Are they easy to use? How do these compare to Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Food and Breast Milk Trays?**
A: They should work well to freeze baby food. Each cube is 1"x1"x1". So you can thaw as many as you need as the baby grows. I don't know how they compare to the trays you asked about. It has been many years since I have had small children as my youngest is now 41 years old.
