Has anyone used this on similar angles with success?** A: We have the same problem. We used a wooden wedge on all four contact points on the wall. We painted the wedges the same color as the wall. Works & not terribly noticeable. **Q: Can it be installed if you have trim and quarter riund at the bottom?** A: You need about an inch of level wall surface **Q: our space is exactly 58in wide - will the tension be strong enough to hold at that max length?** A: It’s not super strong. My husband put a screw into bottom of the gate straight into the floor to add stability. A shim of some sort would also work. We leave our gate up all the of the time so don’t mind having a screw there. This gate is adequate but not heavy duty, in my opinion. ## Frequently Bought Together - Regalo 58-Inch Easy Step Extra Tall Arched Décor Walk Thru Baby Gate, Award Winning Brand, Includes 4-Inch Extension Kit, 4 Pack Pressure Mount Kit and 4 Pack Wall Mount Kit, Bronze - Regalo Easy Step 38.5-Inch Wide Walk Thru Baby Gate, Includes 6-Inch Extension Kit, Pressure Mount Kit, Wall Cups, Black - Wall Nanny - Baby Gate Wall Protector (Made in USA) Protect Walls from Pet Gates & Dog Gates - No Safety Hazard on Spindles - for Child Pressure Mounted Baby Gate for Stairs Cup Guard - White, 4 Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/270170124-regalo-extra-wide-baby-gate-77-5-147-3cm-doorways](https://www.desertcart.us/products/270170124-regalo-extra-wide-baby-gate-77-5-147-3cm-doorways) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
