I have never had any fading problems. But, I can not state that they are 'archival quality' But, I do love the pens, and I have papers 2-4 years old with no fading. **Q: Are these 0.7? Description says they are, but picture shows 0.5.** A: Of the pictures shown only one is showing up as 0.5 and it won't allow me to zoom in. I believe it might be an error showing the wrong pen. The other clear picture, that's zoom-able, is clearly showing 0.7. I don't recall ordering any 0.5 pens. I only have the 1.0 and 0.7 sizes. I still have a few dozen pens left. They never stop working until they completely run out of ink. I prefer the smoother 1.0 size personally. The 0.7 is great for when I need clear precise writing in very small spaces.
