## Description

Break Your Subwoofer In: Much like the engine of a new automobile, a new subwoofer must go through a short but important process of "break-in" before it is run under harsh conditions. The "break-in" process will ensure the subwoofer is able to perform as it has been designed to. This process involves subjecting the subwoofer to no more than low-to-medium volume levels for a number of hours in the enclosure. 3-4 hours is generally sufficient for the subwoofer's suspension to loosen enough to prevent the voice coil(s) from overheating and causing failure. The break-in period is also effective in extending subwoofer life. Over-driving the woofer before it has been properly broken-in will usually result in premature failure and poor performance.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome woofer on the cheap
*by on Reviewed in Canada 11 June 2019*

Excellent woofer for the price. I purchased it to pair it with my 12 inch Fusion Encounter woofer. The encounter is good for about 400 watts according to the info tag on the rear of the magnet, this Boss woofer appears to be exactly the same size.Theres no way id try to feed it 1600 watts. As far as performance, it seems to be identical in every way to my existing entry level 12 inch woofer. Was a bit stiff but after a short break in it was right as rain. This woofer sounds great and id suggest it to anyone looking for a decent woofer on the cheap. ***just dont go and attempt to feed it 1000 watts or you might let the smoke out***

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ nyc sound like a boss system p12svc

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Banger!
*by on Reviewed in the United States 4 April 2018*

Finally got to break it in after running it on low volume for a bout three hours total, the warm up period. It’s an absolute beast. Have it installed in a 2000 Sierra under the back seat.
