These gel sleeves were a great find to provide some heel pain relief and, hopefully, aid the long, slow healing process that comes with PF. I am using them along with an orthotic. The combination of the two with the extra cushion coming from this gel sleeve and the firm support provided by the orthotic has been a good approach for me.I've not yet experienced any problems with these sleeves, but they do require a small amount of care & maintenance. I swap out for a fresh one each morning and give the old one a quick wash with warm water and mild soap. I've also found that dusting them with talc or powder (I use talc-based Baby Powder) just before wearing helps immensely with getting it on and positioned correctly. It also helps to provide all-day comfort with fewer sweat-related issues.I wear a sock over them at all times. It takes a little extra work to get things well-positioned, but it's not difficult and once in good shape it stays in place until I take it off at the end of the day. They are thin enough that I can easily wear athletic socks over them and still comfortably fit into my athletic shoes (with orthotics) for my daily workouts. I don't intend to wear these without socks, but if one wanted to they could without being conspicuous. The neutral color and translucence make them barely noticeable. However, I suspect the additional friction from not wearing socks over them would significantly shorten the service life.Overall a very good and inexpensive aid for those dealing with heel pain from Plantar Fasciitis and/or heel spurs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cushy heels but take a little getting used to *by R***T on May 11, 2016* These might take some getting used to. They're definitely cushy but for some, they may be a bit snug. My husband had trouble with them being too tight but I tried them on and they fit fine on my ankles/feet. They have a funny feel when you're not used to walking on rubbery texture, but they're comfortable and they warm up with your foot and you adjust. I didn't forget I had them on but they're much better than initially. If you put them on and stand and they feel strange, give them some time. They're good cushion for the heels. ### ⭐ Warning: DO NOT buy this crap! *by L***A on June 9, 2018* These are useless for every and any reason you can imagine. They are toooo big so they move around easily as you walk. They make your feet sweat profusely which makes them move around even more. The gel they're comprised of does absolutely nothing for plantar fasciitis because there is absolutely NO compression. This purchase was a waste of money. It's actually a big scam.
