Susan's originals are then sent to a factory in China to be cast in resin that exactly captures each of her knife marks. The resin is cured, and each piece is individually hand-painted (and the paint is lead-free).I LOVE mine and have bought several for gifts. **Q: Do these figurines go with the Holy family figurines that are about 14" tall or the ones that are 9" tall?** A: The Holy Family set is 7.5” tall. The Christmas Story set is the 14” tall set. The Nativity is the 9” set (and the holy family is set up differently and doesn’t have the coloring that these other two sets have). **Q: How does the shelter stand up? Is it curved or does it have a support piece?** A: It is curved and stands on it's own.
