I love to camp and use my cast iron dutch oven, but I have a Corolla, so packing space is very limited. I don't have space for one of those huge round Charcoal Starters, so I've been looking for a collapsible version ever since I saw one being used a few years ago. (Even if I had a huge trailer or RV, I'd still prefer items that use a minimum of space and have multiple uses.) This one beats all of the competition! It folds completely flat (including the handle, which is very comfortable btw), it's easy to open and put the grates in place, it has great airflow, AND you can actually do some cooking with it (with a small skillet or pot and judicious adjusting of the amount of charcoal). The locking guide above the handle makes it very easy to lift and tip over, and pour the charcoals right where you want them to go, and the 90-degree corner does make it easier to aim the charcoal, versus trying to do that with a round starter.
