It’s meant for cleaning and moisturizing rather than preventing bug bites. **Q: how do you open the bottle so the pump works?** A: I must have a different bottle type than yours as mine doesn't have a pump but just the lid attached. I really like this product but still find the smell a little stronger than I'd like.
