That particular one is not used for threaded parts. And also helps to eliminate squeaking in these areas.Having 100-200+ lbs. on a bike seat/post plus the road vibrations, bumps, potholes, curbs, etc. puts a lot of downward pressure on the seat post causing constant re-tightening adjustments.
