I actually came to like these while in Amsterdam, where variations of this are common. This is like - it actually is - 'the real thing' in terms of a basic 'stroop' wafel/cookie. Wonderful as often served, a minute or two on a hot cup of coffee (or tea), so it softens a bit and gets super yummy. It can be dipped in, or eaten dry but warm. My only caution: I had one fall in to a very wide-mouthed mug after heating. In brief, it's the real and familiar thing for those who crave this unique treat. If it's something new you want to try, picture a caramel/pancake syrup smell, harder consistency unless heated, and very chewy at room temp. With a waffle flavor, as in the name. But cookie vibe. Does that make sense?
