## Description

In 1892, the lithographer Johann Adolf Rohrer (1850 – 1918) began with the production of special graphic supplements in the city of Leipzig. His son Johann Adolf Rohrer junior (1880-1953) – a skilled lithographer himself – continued the manufacture of these special products and founded with his partner Felix Arthur Klingner in 1907 the cooperation that is still known under the name Rohrer & Klingner Leipzig-Co. Rohrer & Klingner inks are made following traditional recipes and production methods using specially treated water, natural ingredients, and brilliant colourants. The well-balanced composition of Rohrer & Klingner inks make for an optimal, smooth ink flow and are fast drying.

Review: Dissolves Sketchink Residue - This really de-gunks a pen after using Rohrer and Klingner SketchInk. I do not have good pen hygiene (leaving them inked in a drawer for weeks) and I had hard starts and was super frustrated, but this did what soap and water, pen flush, and even an ultrasonic cleaner couldn't. (I did run the parts through an ultrasonic cleaner after using this though because why not.)

La apertura es adecuado para cualquier tamaño de pluma... no se.. no tengo estas plumas gigantes pero me imagino que da talla. Este color en concreto, creo que es uno de mis favoritos. No me gusta los morados en general pero no se si es el 'iron gall' o lo que sea que le da una profundidad especial a este tinte. El colour es oscuro sin que se pierde la gracia de ver tonos morados hasta con plumín de punta x-fino. Es un placer utilizar este tinta. Se ve bien en la página, tiene un bonito sombreado y...¿que voy a decir? uno de mis top tres colores.

**Q: Can this be used with a dip pen for calligraphy?**
A: Fountain pen ink is for fountain pens.  Calligraphy ink has a shellac property to it which makes it thicker.  You can try FP ink without harm to a dip pen, but never use calligraphy ink in a fountain pen.

**Q: The shipping estimate for me is about two six weeks away. Has anyone gotten an estimate like that and when did it come?**

**Q: The ink bottle came without a box and was not sealed. Is that normal?**
A: Yes, all R&K inks are unsealed. The standard writing inks have no box and the document inks have a simple cardboard box. It's the R&K philosophy to put the ink in the foreground and to avoid unnecessary packaging.

This really de-gunks a pen after using Rohrer and Klingner SketchInk. Ottima spedizione. Venditore professionale. Questo bordeaux di Rohrer & Klingner è molto particolare. Il colore è un vinaccia o melanzana più che un bordeaux. Ha un aspetto d'altri tempi molto bello sia su carta avoriata che bianca. Mi ha convinto molto, a livello di inchiostri ben più costosi. È scorrevole ma aiuta anche il controllo del tratto. Discreto lo "shading" ma non l'ho provato ancora su pennini generosi che esaltano le variazioni cromatiche. La confezione è un po' semplice ma la bottiglietta è funzionale, vecchio stile. Non trovo difetti, è un colore valido anche per disegnare. Lo sconsiglio solo per un uso professionale (firme di atti).
