Review: Great low-cost drying rack - This is just perfect for my small print shop. The shelves were in good condition (no damage at all) when it arrived. Every part was there, including an Allen wrench and a thin open-end wrench. The instructions are a series of technical drawings and fairly easy to follow, although some of the details are quite small. I put it together in about 20 minutes, and had no trouble with the rubber bumpers. But I can see that some people with weaker hands may need a small screwdriver to pry open the slit in the bumper. One disappointment is the grid spacing. I print small cards, and they fall though the openings, so I'll add some wires to reduce the opening size. The overall dimensions specified on the desertcart site are misleading, making it sound like it's about 12" wide and that it sticks out 18" from the door. That just didn't make sense and I was glad to that the overall dimensions are actually about 20" wide and about 13" deep. Each shelf (from left to right as you face it) is 19-1/4" wide, and 12-1/4" deep. That makes the six openings about 6" square, and that's a problem for my 4" X 6" cards—but I'll fix it. See below: UPDATE: I bought a roll of inexpensive plastic fence material, cut it with scissors, and mounted a piece on each shelf with a few plastic zip ties. Works great. It would be nice if the description was more accurate with regard to length and width, and also specifically listed the spacing of the wires. As for not being able to fold up more than about 10 shelves, that is true, but a bungee cord or bent clothes-hanger wire should solve that problem. UPDATE: After using the rack, I agree that there is a real need to support (fold) the top ten shelves, one at a time. I intend to bend a coat hanger wire and use it for a shorter support hook. That will pull the shelves up to get them out of the way. By the way, if I were using large sheets, this would not be an issue, but I put about eight or ten smaller cards on each shelf, so I must get them positioned so they don't overlap. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase. It's convenient, not too heavy, very portable, and not too expensive. James (in Atlanta)
Review: Perfect for small studio spaces. - As a student, this shelf fits perfectly in my studio apartment. While larger works shouldn’t work on the rack (16x 20), I did figure out a work around for a single shelf. The hooky bits used to hold all the shelves in a compact position can actually hook onto other shelves higher up. With a little ingenuity, by hooking one of the mid-shelves, you can leave a larger opening and feasibly put a 16x 20 piece on that opened shelf without the bumpers touching the print. This also leaves the very top shelf at an angle which could hold a larger piece as well. Overall, I love this rack and can’t wait to move it to my studio room at home. Update 5/6/19 - I've added some plastic mesh sheets which I had left over from a project to the shelves with mini zip ties so that I have a flat surface for smaller prints and pieces. Knocked off a star (though I wish it was just a half) since the shelves could really do with an additional cross grid within each of the 6" square gaps. Plan to put some thin rope into the unused holes in the frame above the rack so I can clothespin pictures and other things. Update 7/24/19: Done with school and moved home. I have added 1/8" welding wire between the top empty holes to make a hanging for pictures and small items via clothespins or that sort of thing. I also hung the rack on a bar that is out of the way so that my craft room door is easily accesible. Loving the shelf tons.

## Features

- Specifications: This 20-shelf over-the-door drying rack measures 21 x 12 x 47-1/4 inches, while each slightly tilted shelf measures 12 x 18 inches. The bottom rack can be set as low as 34” from the floor or as high as 56” with 5 additional settings.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drying rack for all spaces
*by H***Y on September 11, 2021*

This drying rack has changed our art game in the clinic! It can fold up and hook once pieces are dry to minimize space and can be left down to dry pieces. There is plenty of room for pieces to be protected from other work and depending on the size multiple small pieces can dry on the same rack at a time. The most positive feature is over the door hangers that are a real space saver! The grids are larger and can be a tad tricky to balance smaller pieces on it without falling through, but only for the smallest and thin pieces of paper. Otherwise this is a great tool!
