These highly concentrated soft gel food colors are formulated with the necessary die concentration levels needed to achieve the most vibrant and brilliant shades. Soft Gel Paste colors have a viscosity that offers the convenience of a pourable gel, making it easier to measure amounts or duplicate shades. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this oil based?**
A: No, it is water based.

**Q: Can these be used for air brushing or?**
A: I am not a professional decorator so can't answer the question. I do know this company has specific airbrush color sets. I use the AmeriColor brand because I like the color hues.

**Q: Is it easy to obtain a really red color without tasting bad?**
A: I can, but you have to let the color mature overnight.  I make my frosting a day before I need it.

**Q: Are these colors all natural?**
A: I don't know. No statement on my boxes other than peanut, tree nut n gluten free.

All the gels are very fresh and very fluid. I only use Americolor gels for my royal icing, handpainted and watercolor cookies because the colors are true, you need only a drop to achieve the color and there is no aftertaste.
