When I wash my hair, I will wring it a little before putting it up in a towel for a little while (usually until the towel is too wet to be comfy). Then I comb it out and put in a small amount of spray gel, and then use one of these scrunchies to make a low ponytail/messy bun - depending on how long my hair is, I can usually wrap it around 2-3 times to get a tight hold. I like to leave it like this for a while - sometimes I’ll take it out and redo it once or twice, or sometimes switch to another dry scrunchie to absorb more water. This is usually enough to get my hair dry enough to where I can finish with the hair dryer in ~5 mins or less, or finish air drying without being overly wet/cold/uncomfortable. I’ve also used all of these simultaneously on sections of damp hair overnight to get some slight wave in my hair. My hair is so unbelievably straight it won’t hold any curl or wave unless it dries that way, and it’s a nice way to get a little texture that lasts for a little while lol. If you have “normal” hair that can hold a curl or wave though, this would probably work great for you lol. It would probably work better with 2 or more sets depending on your hair. I have occasionally used them with pretty wet hair too and they work well. I bet they’d be really nice to use post-swimming. I’d say definitely check the measurements, but they’ve been great for me even though the size was not what I initially thought I wanted. When I come out of the shower I wrap my hair in a hair towel for a few minutes and then work in my hair oils and leave-in conditioners. After that, I divide my hair into 2 parts and wrap and twist it using these scrunchies to keep them in place. I somewhat look like Princess Leia with two twisted buns on the sides of my head. These don’t really help dry my hair but instead prevent it from becoming frizzy as it air dries. But since my hair is twisted and wrapped in the scrunchy, it actually stays wet a little longer than if I air dried it. when I unwrap my hair, it’s wavy and frizz free. Sometimes it’s still a little damp but I wash my hair at night and just go to sleep with it a little damp (silk pillowcase) which helps with the frizz, as well. (I’m always fighting the frizz.)
