They install very simply in only a few minutes. The solar panel keeps the battery topped up well, I don't know how long the batteries on the tyres will last yet. The alarm is un-missable. When I got into the car after the tyre was leaking, the alarm started beeping quite loud to let me know one of the tyres was under inflated. Once I topped it up the alarm stopped. Also when when I unscrewed the cap to top it up the alarm sounds to let you know it's not installed. The display is clear and simple and tells you everything you need to know at a glance. I didn't know that tyre pressures increase when driving, as well as the tyre temperature increases (which should be obvious, now I think about it!). The system looks after itself and all you need is a quick glance to check everything is ok. I think its peace of mind that makes this such a useful product. Btw my car is a 2009 VW Polo, which is why it doesn't have this built in like a lot of never cars.
