The color is true to what my computer shows online. I had no defects in color or finish. I do wish (as others have noted) that the tray/saucer had a bit more depth to the center to help hold the boat in place, although it stays with normal use, but might be an issue if moved quickly or roughly. Dripping is minimal with a thick consistency liquid (gravy or sauce) and worse with thinner liquids - so I'm happy it comes with the saucer. The spout is very wide. The entire top opening is pretty wide, and while it does keep the sauce warm, it does cool off quicker than others I have had with narrower openings. It does make spooning the sauce/gravy in and out much easier though. It does easily hold about a cup and a half of liquid (more if you push it) which is great. Overall I am very happy with these gravy boats and do recommend. I purchased these based on the great quality of the dinnerware sets I have from LE TAUCI and these gravy boats are just as nice.
